Pain Reliever-Fever Reducer, Antihistamine, Cough Suppressant, and Nasal Decongestant.
Temporarily reduces fever •temporarily relieves: •minor aches and pains •headache •temporarily relieves the following symptoms due to cold, hay fever, or sinusitis: •nasal congestion •sinus congestion and pressure •runny nose •sneezing, itching of the nose or throat, and itchy, watery eyes irritation •promotes nasal and/or sinus drainage •temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation
•Adults and children 12 years of age and over: Take 2 tablets every 4 hours, while symptoms persist, not to exceed 12 tablets in 24 hours, or as directed by a doctor.
•Children 6 to under 12 years of age: Take 1 tablet every 4 hours, while symptoms persist, not to exceed 5 tablets in 24 hours, or as directed by a doctor.
Warnings >> Alcohol Warning: •If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. •Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.
Do not use •for more than 10 days unless directed by a physician •if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)(certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinsonˇ¦s disease) •for 2 weeks after stopping a MAOI drug •on children under 3 years of age
Ask a doctor before use if you have •a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis •persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema •a cough that is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucous) •high fever •heart disease •high blood pressure •thyroid disease •diabetes •glaucoma •difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before you use if you are •taking a prescription drug and you do not know if it contains MAOI •taking sedatives or tranquilizers
When using this product •do not exceed recommended dosage •may cause drowsiness •avoid alcoholic beverages •alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase the drowsiness effect •use caution when driving or operating machinery •may cause excitability especially in children
Stop use and ask a doctor if •pain, cough, or nasal congestion gets worse or lasts more than 5 days (children) or 7 days (adults) •cough comes back or occurs with rash or headache that lasts. These could be signs of serious condition •fever gets worse or last more than 3 days •redness or swelling is present •nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occur •new symptoms occur
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
